Joe Davis had decided that for his 50th birthday, he would like to take a group of his friends away for the night to Minsmere, which is a RSPB reserve in Suffolk. We had a great time! I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed it! Apart from the stunning location, and the wonderful lighting, the bird life was fantastic. It kick started a desire to take more time to appreciate nature, and so for my birthday two months later I got a couple of bird feeders, and have been enjoying the bird life in the garden ever since.
What was particularly great, was that everyone was very open about the up’s and down’s of middle aged life. In addition to this, everyone had been Christians for quite a few years, so we all understood the issues that are involved in church life.
