Since we only manage to get together as a family two or three times a year, we decided to organise a family weekend to see Jess in Nuremberg.
An early flight from Stansted meant that we stayed the previous night at a Premier Inn by the airport. Alana had done a great job at organising an AirB&B, which was excellent. Plenty of room and in a great location.
Some of the highlights included renting some City Bikes. We spent ages trying to pay for them, only to find that a couple of bikes couldn’t be unlocked – which meant we were short on time. In the end, we rode them up the street and back down again and gave up. However, we didn’t rent some other bikes and had a great day out cycling to a nearby lake where you could swim. (Also had a nudist section!). Then at the end of the day Luke and Tamara cooked a wonderful barbeque.
Although we had a number of options planned for sightseeing, we had such a great time as a family that it was fun just hanging out all together and going to the local outdoor pool as the weather was so good.
