St Mary’s Catholic Church, Broadgate Lane, Horsforth

It was always going to be the wedding of the year – the first of the cousins to get married. Luke and Dominic were the best men, and Heather’s little girl, Annabel was one of the bridesmaids. Poor Josh had broken his ankle a few weeks earlier, so was hobbling around on crutches.

A particular nice turn of events for Donna and I, was that the wedding was at the church we got married in, 31 years previously! It hadn’t changed, although the garden at the back of the church, where we had our photos taken, was now a car park! Nevertheless, we had our photos taken outside the church – as we had on our wedding day!

A fantastic reception at the East Riddlesden Hall in Keighley followed, where after the speeches there was dancing with a live DJ. It was just great to have some quality time with all the family.

Here is a four minute clip of some of the highlights from the wedding. The priest was a wonderful man from Nigeria, who took every opportunity to make sure that the service was joyful as well as sincere.
